Job summary

As CDO, you will build internal/external relationships, guide the Development department, and collaborate with leadership to achieve BLCI’s mission—advancing access to education for underserved students. This role emphasizes leadership, strategy, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 7+ years fundraising and leadership experience.
• Demonstrated success in building donor relationships and major gifts.
• Experience managing staff and volunteers; ability to drive fundraising strategy across channels.

Responsibilities

• Lead development strategy across individuals, corporations, foundations, and government.
• Oversee grant writing, reporting, and donor stewardship programs.
• Develop and implement annual fundraising plan with benchmarks; align with organizational goals.
• Manage development team performance and provide coaching to ensure fundraising goals are met.
• Collaborate with CEO and Board to strengthen culture of philanthropy within all constituencies.
