Job summary

NASA seeks an executive leader for the Chief Data and Super Intelligence Officer (CDSIO) to accelerate missions through strategic data governance and advanced SI capabilities. The CDSIO will set enterprise data strategy, oversee governance and policy, partner with mission directorates, and lead workforce development, budgeting, and open data initiatives per FAIR principles.

The role requires SES-level credentials, ECQs/MTQ demonstrated in a resume, and U.S.

Qualifications

• ECQs and MTQ must be demonstrated in your 2-page resume.
• Evidence of progressively responsible supervisory/managerial experience managing programs of significant scope.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership for NASA's enterprise data and SI strategy, governance, and policy.
• Lead development and implementation of NASA's Enterprise SI Strategy, driving adoption of SI technologies.
• Establish and maintain data and SI governance frameworks, policies, and standards in compliance with federal requirements.
• Represent NASA in inter-agency councils and external partnerships to align policy with federal directions.
• Collaborate with Mission Directorates, Centers, and senior leaders to align data and SI with priorities.
• Lead initiatives to strengthen agency-wide data workforce capabilities, including training and talent strategies.
• Provide executive oversight for long-term planning, budgeting, and investment prioritization for data and SI portfolios.
• Direct agency-wide data life-cycle management and open data posture per FAIR principles.
