Job summary

Socure is seeking a senior researcher to own the analytics agenda across fraud and identity risk. You will design causal studies, leverage the global identity graph, and translate complex findings into compelling narratives for regulators, customers, and leadership.

You will lead a team of researchers and data scientists, influence product and strategy, and represent Socure at industry forums. Based in SF/NY/Seattle/MIami, sponsorship is not provided.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (MS or PhD strongly preferred) in Economics, Statistics, Econometrics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
• 10+ years of applied experience in data science, fraud analytics, risk research, or quantitative economics.
• Proven expertise in fraud, identity risk, financial crime, or adjacent domains.
• Strong command of causal inference and modern ML/AI techniques.
• Track record of external thought leadership and market-facing credibility.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to write for executives and technical audiences.
• Experience leading and developing high-performing technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the Research Agenda with rigorous identification strategies and causal inference.
• Surface fraud rings and emerging attack typologies across the identity graph.
• Bridge external signals and macro trends to internal models and roadmaps.
• Tell data-driven narratives in white papers, regulatory briefings, and customer insights.
• Build and lead a world-class research team of researchers and data scientists.
• Influence product, models, and strategy through data storytelling.
• Represent Socure externally at conferences and regulatory forums.
• Drive GTM differentiation through research-backed thought leadership.
