Job summary

ENGIE North America Inc. is seeking a Head of Data Platform to own and operate the enterprise data platform across real-time and batch ingestion, lakehouse architecture, and AI-enabled data environments.

You will drive Tier-0 reliability, security, and platform adoption while leading a high-performing engineering team across Trading, Risk, Analytics, Quant, and Infrastructure. The role emphasizes platform as a product, self-service tooling, and cross-functional alignment, with responsibilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, MIS, or related field.
• 15+ years in data platform engineering, distributed systems, or infrastructure.
• Experience with large-scale cloud-native data platforms.
• Expertise in data pipelines, lakehouse, data warehouses, multi-cloud environments.
• Proven production systems reliability, availability, and performance.
• Experience leading engineering teams, including senior leaders.
• Ability to balance strategy with hands-on execution.
• Proven cross-functional alignment across trading, risk, analytics, and engineering.

Responsibilities

• Own design, delivery, and operation of the enterprise data platform.
• Ensure Tier-0 reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Build and operate the AI/ML and Generative AI platform.
• Deploy production-grade AI to enhance trading and risk decisions.
• Lead AI governance and Center of Excellence initiatives.
• Own platform security and data entitlements.
• Operate data platform as a product with self-service tooling.
• Lead Datastone transformation program.
• Manage Tier-0 services with SLOs/SLAs.
• Collaborate with Trading, Risk, Analytics, Quant, and Engineering.
