Job summary

CACI is seeking a Chief Data Engineer to lead the technical implementation of an enterprise data platform centralizing investigative, audit, and oversight data for national security operations.

You will architect cloud-based data pipelines, migrate from legacy ETL to modern cloud-native solutions, establish data governance, and guide a team of data engineers in secure Azure Government environments to enable AI and analytics for mission-critical insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with 15+ years of data engineering/architecture experience.
• Proven leadership of enterprise-scale data integration projects.
• Deep cloud data engineering expertise with Azure/Gov cloud platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Python, SQL, PySpark and modern data frameworks.
• Familiarity with legacy ETL migrations and data governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, testing, and implementation of enterprise data ingestion and transformation pipelines.
• Oversee migration from legacy ETL tools to cloud-based data integration solutions (Azure/Data Factory, Databricks).
• Architect scalable data integration patterns for batch, streaming, and metadata-driven pipelines.
• Lead operation, automation, monitoring, and quality of production data pipelines with SLA focus.
• Coordinate integration with DHS data fabric, Delta Sharing, and secure APIs while maintaining independence.
