Job summary

Hyundai AutoEver America is seeking a senior Cyber Security Defense Head to drive strategy and execution for the organization’s cyber defense program. You will lead and mature SOC, IR, TVM, AppSec, and adversary simulation capabilities while mentoring teams and collaborating with executives.

The role requires a CISO-level leader who can balance strategic risk discussions with hands-on incident response and offensive security initiatives.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience across cyber defense disciplines (SOC, IR, Red/Blue teams)
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science or related field
• Strong knowledge of threat detection, incident response, adversary tactics (MITRE ATT&CK), vulnerability management, and secure software development
• Availability to support security incidents with flexible work schedule when needed

Responsibilities

• Oversee 24x7 SOC operations and detection/response for security events across levels 1–3
• Lead internal Red Team activities, offensive security, and reporting standards
• Oversee Incident Response program, tabletop exercises, and high/critical incident coordination with stakeholders
• Own enterprise vulnerability management strategy, remediation, and metrics across infrastructure, apps, and cloud
• Lead AppSec program with secure SDLC, code reviews, SAST/DAST tools, and developer enablement
• Develop and run adversary simulation programs to test detection, response, and resilience
