Job summary

Blue Heron in Las Vegas seeks a Vice President of Construction to lead all construction operations from mobilization to closeout. You will drive safety, quality, schedule, and budget, while shaping strategy with pre-construction, design, and development teams and maintaining client partnerships.

Ideal candidates bring 15+ years of progressive leadership, 5+ in an executive role, and deep knowledge of construction means, methods, and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 15+ years of progressive construction leadership experience, with 5+ years in an executive role.
• Proven success managing complex, high-value projects end-to-end.
• Deep knowledge of means, methods, safety standards, codes and project controls.
• Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&L for large projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide vision, direction, and leadership for all construction operations.
• Develop strategies to improve efficiency, quality, and profitability across projects.
• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and innovation in line with company values.
• Recruit, develop, and mentor high-performing construction teams and leaders.
• Oversee project execution to meet scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
• Collaborate with finance, legal, procurement, and business development teams.
• Build relationships with clients, consultants, and stakeholders; serve as executive contact.
