Job summary

Avow Hospice in Naples, FL is seeking a Compliance Officer to direct the organization's compliance and ethics programs across clinical companies. You will oversee compliance, quality initiatives, performance improvement, policies and education, and infection control, reporting to CEO/Board Chair and COO.

You will lead risk assessment, audits, education, and incident investigations, collaborate with IT and operations, sit on governance committees, and drive a best-practice, compliant patient care

Qualifications

• Masters prepared registered nurse with healthcare compliance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Joint Commission/CHAP guidelines and ERM is preferred.
• Public speaking and training experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Implements, oversees and manages the corporate compliance program to CEO and Board Chair.
• Investigates high-risk areas or reported breaches, recommends corrections.
• Keeps current with OIG, AHCA regs, fraud alerts; manages audit programs.
• Encourages reporting of compliance issues; coordinates with regulators and counsel.
• Analyzes regulations and provides direction for organizational response.
• Oversees quality management and action plans for non-compliant areas.
• Leads and reports on risk mitigation and enterprise risk management.
• Serves on Board Quality and Compliance committees and reports outcomes.
• Supports education, policy development and staff training across the org.
