Cardea Group seeks a Chief Compliance Officer in New York, NY to lead and own the firm’s compliance program within a growing private equity environment. The CCO partners with senior leadership, oversees regulatory obligations, and shapes governance, data privacy, and investor communications.

Candidates will bring 10+ years of in-house PE compliance experience, a collaborative approach, and the credibility to engage with investors and regulators at the highest level.

• 10+ years of relevant in-house PE compliance experience.
• Experience leading or owning a comprehensive compliance program.

• Own the firm’s compliance program, overseeing policies, monitoring, and testing.
• Evolve the program alongside growth and increasing complexity.
• Oversee Code of Ethics, personal trading, gifts, and conflicts of interest.
• Oversee SEC marketing rule compliance, materials review, and investor communications.
• Provide practical compliance guidance to the business on regulatory matters.
• Lead exam preparedness and coordinate SEC examinations and remediation.
• Engage with investors regarding the firm’s compliance program.
• Assist in AI governance and data privacy considerations.
• Establish controls around data sourcing, vendor due diligence, and oversight.
• Monitor regulatory developments related to AI usage in investment management.
• Support corporate governance, including committees, minutes, and records.
