Job summary

AngelList is hiring its first in-house Chief Compliance Officer to build and scale a robust compliance program for private markets. You will own end-to-end compliance, serve as the Series 24 principal, and maintain primary relationships with FINRA, the SEC, and state regulators.

You will lead the program from a lean team, aligned with deal-flow speed and product development. You will be a trusted partner to leadership, ensure material regulatory clarity, and manage examinations and ongoing

Qualifications

• Active Series 24 in good standing.
• 7+ years of compliance at a FINRA-registered broker-dealer.
• 3+ years in a senior or lead compliance role.
• Bonus: SPVs, fund administration, or exempt offering structures.

Responsibilities

• Own compliance end to end and serve as Series 24 principal.
• Maintain regulatory framework and relationships with FINRA, the SEC, and state regulators.
• Manage FINRA and SEC examinations, inquiries, and annual compliance reviews.
• Oversee registration and licensing across jurisdictions (principals, registered reps, blue sky).
• Administer AML/BSA program and monitor developments.
