Job summary

Three Pillars is seeking a Vice President of Communications to own the company narrative, shape the CEO's thought leadership platform, and establish Behavioral Intelligence as a defining category. You will work with leadership and product marketing, write pitches and op-eds, prepare executives for interviews, and build the communications function from the ground up in a fast-moving startup.

Qualifications

• 10 years in communications with senior leadership experience.
• Experience building or repositioning a company narrative.
• Proven track record securing high-quality coverage across health, policy and tech outlets.
• Experience developing a CEO's thought leadership platform and preparing executives for high-stakes media moments.
• Ability translate data into headlines and stories that are compelling and accurate.
• Comfortable about AI, data privacy topics and related issues.
• Excellent writer and editor with a consistent, mission-driven voice.
• Able to work iteratively with subject-matter experts in research, product, and behavioral science.

Responsibilities

• Own company-level messaging, including the core narrative and boilerplate.
• Lead efforts to establish a new category (Behavioral Intelligence) and position the company as the reference point.
• Maintain a consistent company voice across teams and channels.
• Partner with product marketing to ensure alignment with the company narrative.
• Build and run a thought leadership program for the CEO and senior leaders (bylines, op-eds, keynotes, podcasts).
• Prepare spokespeople with key messages and media training.
