Job summary

Social Finance seeks a Head of Communications to lead a 4-person team and oversee organization-wide communications initiatives. You will shape our voice, expand media coverage, and guide content across press, reports, blogs, and social channels.

The role requires deep experience in strategic communications, a strong network with national media, and a track record of leading high-performing teams. Travel and in-person collaboration are expected.

Qualifications

• 20+ years of experience in communications, including leading and implementing a strategy.
• Strategic thinker with ability to drive innovation and growth across communications activities.
• Proven networks and experience with national media relations.
• Travel up to 10-15% for collaboration and events; willingness for in-person work.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive communications vision and strategy.
• Lead and mentor the communications team and collaborate across the organization.
• Oversee media relations, secure placements, and manage inquiries.
• Drive content creation across press releases, articles, reports, and social media.
• Oversee digital marketing, website, email campaigns, and social channels.
• Establish KPIs to measure impact and optimize strategies.
