Qualifications

  • Master's degree plus seven years of related work experience, including five years in leadership.
  • Significant experience in Title IX, civil rights, equal opportunity, investigations, compliance, or a closely related area.
  • Knowledge of Title IX, Title VI, Title VII, ADA/Section 504, VAWA, Clery Act and related requirements.
  • Experience managing complex and sensitive matters with fair, impartial processes.
  • Demonstrated leadership, including leading teams, advising senior leaders, and institutional change.
  • Excellent judgment, communication skills, and ability to maintain neutrality and credibility.

Responsibilities

  • Provide university-wide leadership and oversight for compliance with Title IX and civil rights laws and policies.
  • Lead the Civil Rights & Title IX Office, including staff, operations, and case management systems.
  • Oversee investigations, resolutions, and documentation of reports within the office's jurisdiction.
  • Advise university leadership on civil rights matters and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain policies, procedures, training, prevention, and outreach related to civil rights and Title IX.
  • Ensure supportive measures and accommodations are administered fairly and consistently.
  • Build partnerships across colleges, divisions, and statewide campuses to strengthen prevention and compliance.
