Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient cardiology care.
  • Oversee administrative and clinical supervision of all physicians and APPs within Cardiology Service.
  • Complete performance reviews for all providers within the service.
  • Interviews, exams, diagnostic testing selection, and interpretation to coordinate patient care.
  • Communicate and document clearly with patients and medical personnel to coordinate care.
  • Perform cardiology procedures such as arterial puncture, EKG interpretation, echocardiography, and catheterization as trained.
  • Share after-hours call responsibilities with section physicians in rotation.
  • Provide consultative input to inpatient and outpatient care.
  • Collaborate with APPs and physician colleagues with clear communication and documentation.
