Job summary

NC State University in Raleigh, NC, seeks an experienced senior administrator to serve as Assistant Vice Chancellor, Campus Planning and University Architect. You will lead the university’s Physical Master Plan, oversee campus development, and guide strategic investment across NC State’s facilities.

Qualifications

• Requires a relevant post-baccalaureate degree with minimum years of related professional experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Planning, Landscape Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
• Progressive experience in architecture, planning, facilities development or capital projects.
• Demonstrated supervisory experience leading professional staff.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and updates of the Physical Master Plan and Campus Development Process.
• Guide capital project planning, programming, scope development, and design review.
• Provide analytics and reporting to support space utilization and capital planning.
• Oversee campus GIS programs, building information, and space data systems.
• Lead sustainability initiatives and integrate them into planning and operations.
• Chair committees and advise on capital planning, land use, and campus design.
