Job summary

The State of South Carolina's Office of Mental Health seeks a Mental Health Professional II / Chief, CAF Program (Aiken) to oversee Child, Adolescent and Family Services, MDFT and Roads of Independence, guiding staff and ensuring evidence-based care.

The role requires SC licensure or eligibility (LPC/LISW-CP/LMFT), supervisory experience, MDFT certification, and ability to coordinate services with professional development opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in guidance, counseling, or social sciences or related field.
• Licensed or eligible for LPC, LISW-CP, or LMFT in SC.
• Two years of clinical experience in a mental health setting.
• Must be licensed in SC or pursuing licensure within 6 months.
• Certified to provide MDFT or obtain MDFT certification within six months.
• Ability to lead and mentor practicum students/interns.
• Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices and QA standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Child, Adolescent and Family Services, MDFT and Roads of Independence.
• Provide supervision to staff and ensure fidelity to MDFT model.
• Ensure services are documented per QA standards and policies.
• Meet clinical/agency metrics and model fidelity requirements.
• Pursue professional development and maintain licensure.
• Build relationships with patients, staff and community partners.
• Participate in meetings and interagency coordination.
• Comply with laws, policies and CARF accreditation efforts.
• Mentor practicum students/interns.
