Job summary

SMX is seeking a Chief Command and Control (C2) Systems Integrator / Principal C2 Architect to support SOCOM at MacDill AFB. The senior technical authority will bridge tactical edge nodes with headquarters, drive CJADC2 initiatives, and enable coalition interoperability across multi‑domain C2 architectures.

This onsite, full‑time role requires TS/SCI clearance and 15+ years of military C2/ops experience, with a track record leading cross‑functional teams in defense programs.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain ACCM/SAP read-ins as required by the mission.
• 15+ years of specialized military C2/ops experience, with senior advisory roles to major commands.
• Degree in Computer Information Systems, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.
• Experience supporting Joint Task Forces, CAOCs, JICC, and SOF.
• Expert knowledge of LINK 16, Multi-TDL architectures, MPE, and cloud-based C2 infrastructure.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams of engineers, operators, and acquisition professionals.

Responsibilities

• Architect enterprise-level C2 frameworks integrating CJADC2 initiatives.
• Design interoperability solutions for mission partner environments and data links.
• Synchronize multi-domain data feeds into a Common Operating Picture and modern cloud-native architectures.
• Oversee integration of legacy C2 systems with newer cloud and AI-driven battle management tools.
