Job summary

Jobtailor in Washington, DC is seeking an experienced Facilities Operations Leader to oversee the engineering team and drive reliability, safety, and cost efficiency across all machinery and systems, aiming for 100% uptime through proactive maintenance programs.

You will supervise engineers and maintenance staff, manage contractors, and maintain infrastructure documentation while ensuring regulatory compliance and strong internal/external customer service.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of facilities-related work experience
• 5+ years in a leadership/managerial capacity
• Comprehensive knowledge of maintenance processes
• Understanding of construction planning and execution
• Exposure to HVAC, fluid handling/pumping, fluid filtering, mechanical systems, welding, and electrical systems engineering and operation
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and CMMS systems
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
• Proven record of excellent internal and external customer service.
