Job summary

The Pascua Yaqui Tribe seeks a Director of Audit Services to design and oversee internal audit policies for the Tribe and Tribal Enterprises. You will lead audits across performance, operations, finance, and information systems, and report to the Chairman and Tribal Council.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, developing annual plans, directing budgets, and communicating results to leadership. Advanced IA standards knowledge and senior supervisory experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or Public Administration plus 10 years of experience in Internal Audit/Risk Management
• Five years of supervisory responsibilities at Audit Manager/Director level
• Master's degree preferred; CIA with CGAP/CRMA/CPA/CFE/CISA beneficial

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff, prioritize and assign work; conduct evaluations; ensure training and policy compliance.
• Develop, implement and evaluate departmental policies, procedures, strategies, and goals; ensure compliance.
• Direct and participate in budget development and financial/reporting processes; monitor revenues and expenditures.
• Direct identification of Tribe risk areas and oversee Annual Audit Plan, work schedules and performance measures.
• Communicate audit results via reports and oral presentations to management and Tribal Council; coordinate with external auditors.
