Job summary

BMO Financial Group in Chicago is seeking a senior risk executive to lead the Risk Framework function within the Risk Governance & Strategic Risk team. This role ensures the Risk Management Framework (RMF) is applied consistently across the enterprise and U.S.

operations, guiding governance, assessment, and continuous improvement. You will translate regulatory expectations into RMF design, align RMF with enterprise strategy, and drive enterprise-wide risk oversight with senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive experience leading enterprise risk management, risk governance, risk framework, regulatory, compliance, control, or related functions.
• Deep knowledge of risk management frameworks and governance practices, including Three Lines of Defence, Effective Challenge, Risk Appetite.
• Strong ability to influence senior executives, governance committees, regulators, and stakeholders across multiple lines.

Responsibilities

• Translate evolving regulatory expectations and enterprise strategy into RMF design and application.
• Align RMF to enterprise and CUSO strategy, risk appetite, and growth priorities.
• Provide advisory and interpretation on RMF and core methodologies across the organization.
