Job summary

Mastercard seeks a Director of AI & Data Strategy to advance Mastercard's thinking, frameworks and practices across AI and data strategy. You will lead research, evaluate emerging AI developments and guide strategic initiatives affecting products, services and processes.

Qualifications

• Strong privacy, security, transparency, fairness, accountability and data rights understanding.
• Ability to lead research and horizon-scanning activities and translate into strategy.
• Recognized subject-matter expertise in AI strategy, data strategy, responsible AI or governance.
• Deep knowledge of generative AI, agentic AI, ML, advanced analytics and data foundations.

Responsibilities

• Lead pioneering AI and data strategy research and horizon-scanning.
• Provide forward-looking guidance on business, regulatory, ethical and societal implications.
• Collaborate with legal, privacy, compliance, risk, technology, data, product and business teams.
• Develop responsible AI frameworks, guardrails and practical methods for innovation.
• Mentor colleagues and expand Mastercard's AI and data expertise across teams.

Education

Bachelor's degree in data science, computer science, engineering, technology, public policy, law, ethics, business or equivalent practical experience
