Artefact North America is seeking a strategic AI & ML leader to join its founding US team in NYC or LA. You will guide production-grade AI systems, from classical ML to LLM-powered applications, and work closely with clients and stakeholders to shape architectures and roadmaps.

You will mentor engineers, influence pre-sales, and define best practices for context engineering, agent harnesses, and MLOps, while delivering measurable business impact.

Qualificações

• 8+ years software engineering & AI experience; 2–3 years in LLM architecture.
• Generative AI/LLM engineering expertise with context engineering and agent harnesses.
• Master’s degree in CS/SE or related field.
• Hands-on with LangGraph/LangChain, Google ADK, Claude Agent SDK and modern stacks.
• Cloud architectures: microservices, serverless, containers/Kubernetes, CI/CD, IaC.
• Strong AI system design: agents, tools, eval harnesses, guardrails, observability.
• Data & context modeling with data lakes/warehouses, embeddings, knowledge graphs.
• Experience with Google Gemini Enterprise / Vertex AI; basic MS Foundry and AWS Bedrock.
• Leadership in engineering teams and pre-sales support; strong communication & business sense.

Responsabilidades

• AI & ML Solution Architecture: design, build, and optimize production AI systems for scalability and cost-efficiency.
• Context Engineering: define prompt/system design, RAG, vector stores, memory management, and tool calls.
• Harness Engineering: develop robust agent harnesses with orchestration, evaluation, and guardrails.
• Fine-Tuning Pipelines: manage data curation, supervised tuning, evaluation, and deployment.
• Platform Stack: deploy on Gemini Enterprise and Vertex AI; leverage MS Foundry / AWS Bedrock when needed.
• Team Leadership: mentor engineers, set standards, and foster knowledge sharing.
• Pre-Sales & Business Development: scope engagements, build demos, and present architectures.
• Machine Learning Modeling: oversee classical and deep learning models; select techniques per problem.
• AI Strategy: partner with leadership to shape GenAI architecture direction and roadmap.
