The Institute of World Politics in Washington, DC seeks a SVP of Institutional Advancement to lead fundraising across major gifts, annual giving, planned giving, corporate and foundation support, and capital campaigns.

The SVP will supervise advancement staff, partner with senior leadership and the Board on fundraising strategy, and represent the Institute at events while cultivating relationships with national security and academic communities.

Qualifikationen

• Demonstrated expertise in philanthropy and major gift fundraising.
• Experience in planned giving, including bequests and charitable trusts.
• Proficiency in annual giving and alumni relations to sustain long-term engagement.
• Skill in prospect research to identify and prioritize donors.
• Experience leading advancement teams with strategic planning and budgeting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for persuasive cases for support.
• Ability to collaborate with senior leadership, faculty and boards.
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred; background in public policy, international affairs, nonprofit management, or business.
