The Missouri Botanical Garden seeks a seasoned Senior Vice President of Institutional Advancement to lead comprehensive fundraising, donor engagement, and advancement operations. Reporting to the President & Director, this role drives major gifts, annual campaigns, and planned giving while aligning philanthropy with the Garden’s mission to discover and share knowledge about plants and their environment.

The SVP IA will manage a team of 35 with a $4.8M operating budget within a $63M overall

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead comprehensive fundraising programs and campaigns.
• Strong communication and relationship-building with major donors and foundations.
• Experience mentoring high-performing teams and collaborating with senior leadership.

Responsabilités

• Serve as strategic advisor to President, Board, and ELT; integrate philanthropy into planning.
• Lead local and global fundraising programs: annual, capital, endowment, planned giving.
• Oversee membership, stewardship, and donor relations, including major events.
• Build relationships with major donors, corporate partners, and foundations; represent the Garden publicly.
