Job summary

The University of Indianapolis seeks an entrepreneurial advancement leader to drive major gifts and philanthropic partnerships. Reporting to the President, you will build and manage donor relationships, solicit seven-figure gifts, and expand the university's fundraising strategy with insight from senior leadership and the Board of Trustees.

You will travel regionally and nationally, building high-value relationships and stewarding donors while advancing the university's mission and priorities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in higher education or major non-profit advancement with a proven fundraising track record.
• Proven ability to secure seven-figure gifts from individuals.
• Demonstrated relationship-building, solicitation, and stewardship with high-net-worth donors.
• Experience collaborating with senior leadership to plan and close major gifts.
• Understanding of complex gift agreements and long-term impact on the university.

Responsibilities

• Front-Line fundraising and major gifts: manage a portfolio of high-value donors and secure seven-figure gifts.
• Collaborate with President, Provost, Deans, and senior leadership to strategize and solicit major gifts.
• Serve as liaison to the Board of Trustees and engage them in fundraising activities.
• Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies including gifts, grants, and campaigns.
• Design high-touch cultivation and stewardship programs for donors.
