Job summary

Clover Health is seeking a Chief Actuary to lead and evolve the enterprise actuarial function with a focus on AI-enabled workflows and modern analytics. You will oversee pricing, forecasting, reserving, medical economics, and bid strategy while ensuring governance and regulatory compliance.

This remote-friendly role partners with Finance, Clinical, Growth, Operations, Product, and Data Science to transform decision-making and drive value through data-driven insights.

Qualifications

• Fellowship or equivalent professional standing in actuarial practice.
• Strong leadership experience in Medicare Advantage actuarial functions including pricing, forecasting, reserving, and bid development.
• Demonstrated experience deploying AI workflows and automation across actuarial processes.
• Ability to communicate actuarial concepts to executives and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience leading large, cross-functional initiatives impacting enterprise decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead Clover's enterprise actuarial function across pricing, forecasting, reserving, medical economics, Part D, Stars analytics, and bid strategy.
• Set long-term vision for modern actuarial analytics with AI-enabled workflows and scalable infrastructure.
• Develop governance, transparency, and regulatory compliance for actuarial models and outputs.
• Oversee annual Medicare Advantage bid strategy and pricing, balancing growth, margin, risk, and capital needs.
• Build and scale a high-performing actuarial team with strong partnerships across Finance, Clinical, Growth, and Data Science.
• Collaborate with leadership to embed actuarial insights into strategic decisions and enterprise performance.
