Job summary

Hippie Hued, a Chicago-based upcycled clothing brand, seeks an experienced local production sewer/sample maker to increase output of Sweat-T tunics from reclaimed textiles. You will reproduce our established methods without design work.

If you prove reliable, you will take on more steps from cutting to completing garments, with a paid test project to begin and potential ongoing batches of 5–15+ pieces.

Qualifications

• Experience in professional garment construction.
• Comfortable using industrial sewing equipment.
• Ability to follow existing patterns and sew-by samples.
• Comfortable working with reclaimed textiles.
• Detail-oriented with clean finishing.

Responsibilities

• Assemble pre-cut garment panels and attach sleeves; sew garment seams.
• Cut and attach rib knit/trim; sew in labels; finish and quality control.
• Follow an existing garment/sample as a construction reference.
