Job summary

Wismettac is seeking a safety-minded CDL Driver to join our Carol Stream, IL team. You’ll operate heavy-duty delivery trucks on routes across the Chicago area and nearby states, ensuring timely, accurate deliveries to customers.

Responsibilities include pre/post-trip inspections, maintaining E-log records via tablets, and assisting with warehouse tasks when needed. Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and maintain a courteous customer relationship.

Wismettac is looking for a professional, safety-minded CDL Driver to be the face of our company. You aren’t just moving freight; you’re building relationships and ensuring our high-quality products reach our customers safely and on time.

Location: Carol Stream, IL

Pay: Starting at $31.00 per hour. Eligible for Quarterly Driver incentive and $50/per day per diem on nights out (staying in hotel up to 3 nights weekly)

Shift: Full-time Monday–Friday (Standard 40 hours), with common overtime and early starts.

Over-the Road Driving: Territories covering Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, and local Chicago area.

The Role: You will operate heavy-duty delivery trucks (avg 26,000 lbs), managing established routes and providing top-tier service to our clients.

• Precision & Safety: Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain electronic logs (E-logs).

What you need:

• The License:Valid CDL with a solid driving record.
• The Physical: Ability to handle strenuous physical work, including lifting, pulling, pushing 50+ lbs and maneuvering in/out of the cab.
• The Mindset: Knowledge of DOT regulations and a "safety-first" attitude.
• The Flexibility: Willingness to work early mornings, evenings, or occasional weekends to beat the traffic and meet customer needs.
• The Tech: Comfortable using tablets for E-logs and reporting.
