Job summary

Wismettac Asian Foods, Inc. in Charlotte, NC is seeking a safety-minded CDL Driver to deliver freight on established routes, building relationships with customers and ensuring on-time delivery of high-quality products.

This full-time role requires a valid CDL, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, adherence to DOT regulations, and comfort with E-logs on a tablet. Shifts are Mon-Fri and Tue-Sat with occasional weekends; occasional interstate trips.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy-duty delivery trucks on established routes.
• Deliver products and maintain positive client relationships.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; ensure safety and compliance.
• Load/unload merchandise (up to 50 lbs) and assist in warehouse as needed.

Job description

Wismettac is looking for a professional, safety-minded CDL Driver to be the face of our company. You aren't just moving freight; you're building relationships and ensuring our high-quality products reach our customers safely and on time.

Location: Charlotte, NC

Pay: Starting at $25.40 per hour. Eligible for Quarterly Driver incentive.

Shift: Full-time Monday-Fri / Tuesday-Saturday

The Role:

You will operate heavy-duty delivery trucks (avg 26,000 lbs), managing established routes and providing top-tier service to our clients.

• Efficient Delivery: Navigate routes safely in various weather and traffic conditions.
• Customer Connection: Deliver products, and maintain positive client relationships.
• Precision & Safety: Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain electronic logs (E-logs).
• Hands-on Logistics: Load and unload merchandise (up to 50 lbs) and assist in warehouse operation when needed.

What You Need

• The License: Valid CDL with a solid driving record.
• The Physical: Ability to handle strenuous physical work, including lifting, pulling, pushing 50+ lbs and maneuvering in/out of the cab.
• The Mindset: Knowledge of DOT regulations and a "safety-first" attitude.
• The Flexibility: Willingness to work early mornings, evenings, or occasional weekends to beat the traffic and meet customer needs.
• The Tech: Comfortable using tablets for E-logs and reporting.
