Job summary

LSMNJ is seeking a Per Diem Certified Home Health Aide to support homecare clients in Essex County. The role requires providing direct patient care and working under supervision of a licensed health care professional. A current NJ CHHA license and reliable transportation are essential.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, a valid NJ driver’s license, and a safe driving record. This position offers up to $20/hour plus differentials.

Qualifications

We have a new opportunity for a Per Diem CHHA for our Homecare clients in Essex County! This position pays up to $20/hour plus differentials! This position would require a valid drivers license with reliable transportation to get to our clients homes.

The CHHA Provides direct care/services to residents within the scope of duties, responsibilities and certification under the direction of a licensed health care professional.

Education/Training/Certifications:

1. High school diploma or GED


2. Certified Home Health Aide License --New Jersey


3. Current driver’s license with proof of auto insurance


4. Safe driving record

Skill(s):

1. Knowledge of principles, practices, standards and techniques of a home health aide


2. Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment


3. Knowledge of medical equipment use and maintenance


4. Skilled in establishing and maintain effective working relationships with patients, co-workers, medical staff and the public.


5. Skilled in identifying and recommending problem resolution.


6. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.


7. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.


8. Ability to work independently with minimum supervision

Experience:

Minimum of 1 year working as a CHHA with the frail or elderly

Medical Clearance:

Employees must have medical clearance for communicable diseases and up-to-date immunizations before having direct participant contact.
