Job summary

Distinctive Living in Vineland, NJ is seeking a full-time CHHA to provide direct care and support to residents under management direction. You will help maintain a safe environment, assist with activities of daily living, and document care per care plans.

Responsibilities include reporting on resident status, assisting with meals and mobility, and following infection control and HIPAA policies. Prior caregiving and HHA certification are preferred; strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have six months of experience in a caregiving role or similar function.
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
• HHA certification is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate verbally in person and over the phone.

Responsibilities

• Receives and gives report to management on resident status at the beginning and end of each shift and as needed.
• Provides personal care to residents per their individualized plan of care.
• Documents all pertinent information regarding care as assigned.
• Prepares residents for meals and assists to and from dining room.
• Assists residents with toilet and incontinence care.
• Maintains resident confidentiality and adheres to HIPAA policies.
