District Sales Manager - Chevrolet

The District Sales Manager (DSM) is responsible for managing and engaging our Chevy dealers by visiting and working closely with them. This role involves being present at stores, directly involved with our products and services.

The DSM may participate in various initiatives such as developing and implementing marketing strategies, customer retention programs, product displays, financial analysis, and training. The goal is to ensure our dealers understand our offerings and succeed in selling our products to end customers. A day in the life of a DSM is fast-paced and varied; success requires strong people skills and effective time management.

Responsibilities:

  1. Act as a liaison between GM, its dealerships, and other GM partners.
  2. Develop and foster strong partnerships.
  3. Provide mentorship and consulting to help meet monthly and yearly sales objectives.
  4. Monitor dealership Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and other feedback to identify areas for improvement or opportunities.
  5. Assist with product launches to ensure effective marketing and advertising coordination between dealers, the independent aftermarket (IAM), and GM.
  6. Oversee dealership personnel training and ensure compliance with GM standards and objectives.
  7. Support dealership inventory management, including vehicle and parts ordering and inventory stabilization.
  8. Analyze dealer sales data, local market conditions, and competition to identify revenue opportunities.
  9. Work to increase sales of GM vehicles and accessory parts to customers.
  10. Assist with resolving customer issues.
  11. Travel to dealerships within your designated region.
  12. Participate in monthly Go-to-Market calls and Local Market Area (LMA) meetings.
