Togetherhood is seeking an enthusiastic Chess instructor to join our network and teach K-12 students in Boston schools, after‑school programs, and community venues. Terms range from 6 weeks to 18 weeks, with pay per class or per student at $90–$120 per hour on a contracted 1099 basis.
As an instructor you will develop age‑appropriate curricula, lead weekly in‑person classes, foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment, and track student growth to provide constructive feedback.

As a member of our network, you will be matched with opportunities to teach Chess to K-12 students at schools, buildings, and communities across Boston. These teaching opportunities will be for terms that could last anywhere from 6 weeks to 18 weeks.
As an after school instructor, you’ll have the following responsibilities:

$90 - $120 an hour
Teachers in the Togetherhood network are paid per class, either flat rate or per‑student (determined by the partner school). This is contracted, supplemental 1099 work. There is a separate materials budget for teachers to use for classes requiring one.
