Togetherhood in NYC seeks an enthusiastic Chess instructor to teach K-12 students across schools and communities for terms of 6 to 18 weeks. You will develop age-appropriate curriculum and lead weekly in-person classes with energy and expertise.

What You'll Do

As a member of our network, you will be matched with opportunities to teach Chess to K-12 students at schools, buildings, and communities across NYC. These teaching opportunities will be for terms that could last anywhere from 6 weeks to 18 weeks.

As an after school instructor, you'll have the following responsibilities:

• Develop age-appropriate Chess curriculum for after-school students
• Lead weekly in-person classes with enthusiasm and expertise
• Establish a well-structured and lively classroom that keeps students engaged
• Foster a positive, supportive, and encouraging learning environment for students of varying skill levels
