Job summary

Aerotek is hiring a Cherry Picker Operator for our Romeoville, IL warehouse. You will move finished products to packaging, inspect against MO docs, and ensure accurate labeling, packing, and shipping readiness. The role requires rigour in inventory control, attention to detail, and strict adherence to safety procedures.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with onsite work in a modern facility.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of forklift experience (stand-up and reach).
• Experience operating cherry pickers and reach lifts in a warehouse distribution environment.
• Ability to perform heavy picking, regularly lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Experience using SAP or other inventory systems for tracking stock.
• Skill in order picking, packing, and palletizing products for shipment.
• Familiarity with RF scanners for picking and inventory control.
• Knowledge of basic inventory control practices and warehouse distribution processes.
• Ability to work safely and follow established safety procedures.

• Use RF scanners and inventory systems, including SAP, to track, pick, and record inventory accurately.
• Support inventory control activities by counting, verifying, and organizing products in warehouse distribution areas.
• Assist with packing, shipping, and related documentation, including bills of lading, to ensure accurate order processing.
• Follow all safety procedures and warehouse guidelines while operating equipment and performing material handling tasks.
• Maintain a clean, orderly work area within the assembly and packaging departments.
• Work a consistent schedule of 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and collaborate effectively with other warehouse employees.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• No formal forklift certifications required, but prior hands‑on experience is essential.

• Experience working in clean, modern warehouse facilities.

• Ability to read and follow Manufacturing Orders (MO) and product specifications.

• Strong attention to detail in labeling, packaging, and verifying product information.

• Reliability in maintaining a consistent Monday–Friday schedule from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

• Comfort working as part of a team in assembly and warehouse operations.

Work Environment

The environment includes active material handling, heavy lifting, and palletizing tasks. Steel‑toe or safety shoes are required, and a safety vest is provided as part of the standard attire.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Romeoville, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
