University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus in Topeka, KS seeks a day shift, full-time Chemotherapy Patient Care Tech (PCT) to support nursing in delivering patient care.

The role emphasizes collaboration with nurses, data recording, and ensuring patient safety in a healing environment. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, completes an approved CNA/PCT program or is near completion, holds Kansas certification, and will obtain BLS within two weeks of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of approved CNA/PCT certification program or enrollment with less than one semester left.
• Active Kansas certification is required.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with licensed nurses to deliver safe, compassionate patient care.
• Under supervision, perform delegated tasks and advanced skills for age-specific patients.
• Record data per policy, report observations, and assist in clinical and non-clinical duties.
• Obtain vital signs, assist with ADLs (bathing, dressing, feeding), collect lab specimens, and support monitoring.
• Complete unit-based competencies and validations as assigned.
