Job summary

Tennessee Oncology PLLC seeks a certified Pharmacy Technician to join our admixture team. You will prepare chemotherapy drugs aseptically, manage inventory, and support multi-disciplinary clinic operations.

Requirements include TN state license and experience with chemotherapy admixture. Travel to satellite clinics may be required; lifting up to 50 pounds and respirator wear are expected.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist technician certified and trained in aseptic preparation.
• Chemotherapy admixture experience preferred.
• TN State Pharmacy Technician license active or obtained within 90 days of hire if not licensed in TN.

Responsibilities

• Accurately retrieve medications required to fulfill medication orders.
• Review orders for appropriateness and accuracy.
• Perform calculations for drug dilution and final concentrations.
• Aseptically prepare drug solutions and products.
• Maintain admixture area per clean room guidelines.
• Interpret medication orders before preparation and evaluate patient information prior to admixture.
