Job summary

Staffmark Group in Anoka, MN is hiring a Chemistry Technician to support daily plant operations by performing chemical bath testing, bath maintenance, and inventory activities. You will work closely with the Chemistry Manager to interpret test results, identify irregularities, troubleshoot bath-related issues, and help determine solutions.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and offers training, growth opportunities, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Chemistry, laboratory, science, or technical training is a plus.
Ability to read and interpret documents, engineering drawings, and technical instructions.
Strong math skills, including fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions, and basic statistics.

Responsibilities

Perform daily chemical bath testing and maintenance according to schedules.
Conduct laboratory testing including bath titrations, hull cell analysis, and spectrophotometer analysis.
Complete bath adjustments and chemical add-backs based on test results.
Perform bath filtrations, replacements, and rebuilds as required.
Clean and maintain laboratory equipment and glassware.
Move chemicals and materials throughout the facility.
Monitor chemical inventory and assist with monthly counts.
Troubleshoot chemical bath issues and report findings to management.
Conduct weekly hazardous waste inspections.
Fill, move, and prepare hazardous waste drums for disposal.
Maintain accurate records related to testing and inventory.
