Job summary

Harba is seeking a laboratory technician to prepare and analyze chemical samples using standard techniques. You will perform routine and specialized tests, operate and maintain instruments like HPLC and GC, and document results for quality records.

The role requires attention to detail, adherence to GLP/GMP, and the ability to work both independently and with cross-functional teams. Prior lab experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, label, and analyze chemical samples with standard lab techniques.
  • Perform routine and specialized testing per established methods.
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain equipment (HPLC, GC, spectrophotometers, titrators, balances).
  • Record, review, and report test data in LIS or logbooks.
  • Follow GLP, GMP, and safety protocols.
  • Monitor inventory of supplies and assist with reordering.
  • Assist investigations of out-of-spec results and root-cause analysis.
  • Contribute to method development, validation, and improvements.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe workspace.
  • Collaborate with production, QA, and engineering teams.
  • Prepare documentation to support audits.

Job description

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, label, and analyze chemical samples using standard laboratory techniques and instrumentation
  • Perform routine and specialized testing in accordance with established methods, protocols, and specifications
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment such as HPLC, GC, spectrophotometers, titrators, and balances
  • Accurately record, review, and report test data and observations in laboratory information systems or logbooks
  • Follow Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and applicable safety protocols
  • Monitor inventory of laboratory supplies, reagents, and consumables, and assist with reordering as needed
  • Support investigations of out-of-specification or unexpected results and assist with root cause analysis
  • Assist with method development, validation, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory workspace
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and engineering, to support operational goals
  • Prepare and maintain accurate documentation to support internal and external audits

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific field (or equivalent laboratory experience)
  • Prior experience in a laboratory, manufacturing, or quality control setting preferred
  • Working knowledge of chemical testing methods, laboratory equipment, and analytical techniques
  • Familiarity with safety data sheets (SDS), OSHA guidelines, and proper chemical handling procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity
  • Ability to follow detailed written procedures and document results clearly
  • Basic computer proficiency, including data entry and laboratory information management systems (LIMS)
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
