BASIS Scottsdale is seeking qualified candidates for a Middle School Chemistry Teacher for the 2025/2026 school year!

Role Overview

The Chemistry Teacher (SET) ensures exceptional education by preparing and facilitating subject-specific lesson plans. Subject Expert Teachers implement the BASIS Curriculum, tailoring topics to their expertise and passion for the subject.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in the subject matter (or 24+ credit hours in applicable subject matter with another degree)
• Valid Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in subject matter or education from an accredited institution
• 2+ years teaching/education experience

Essential Functions

• Prepare and facilitate subject and grade-specific lesson plans
• Provide instruction at a higher level than grade standard in an interactive environment to achieve exceptional results
• Implement the BASIS Curriculum with creative lessons and assessments to ensure international competitiveness
• Collaborate with other BASIS Curriculum teachers to develop curriculum and foster a professional community
• Tutor students to enhance academic and career success
• Manage student behavior to promote achievement, responsibility, and respect
• Support non-instructional functions like "Early Bird," "Late Bird," and lunch supervision
• Maintain regular attendance
• Supervise students individually or in groups
