Qualifications

• Active 031 CDE Chemistry Certification required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or Chemistry.
• Experience in multicultural urban settings.
• Proven ability to teach high school chemistry.
• Strong human relations skills with students, parents, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Follow scope and sequence defined by the Danbury Board of Education.
• Set and reinforce clear expectations and routines.
• Manage classroom and student behavior to maintain a conducive learning environment.
• Prepare lesson plans with clear objectives and appropriate techniques.
• Demonstrate strong content knowledge of Chemistry.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate with parents.
• Conduct parent/teacher conferences and assess student progress.
• Collaborate with teams in a diverse setting and participate in professional learning.
