Job summary

Paterson Public Schools in Paterson, NJ invites certified Chemistry/Physical Science teachers to join our district-wide team for the 2026-27 school year. We welcome bilingual applicants (Spanish, Turkish, English) with NJDOE certificates and endorsements in Chemistry or Physical Science.

Positions cover diverse locations within the district; you will be part of a dedicated team focused on student achievement and community involvement.

Qualifications

Must hold New Jersey Chemistry or Physical Science certificate.
Knowledge of the NJSLS and NJSLA.
Ability to analyze and use data to drive instruction.
Experience working with students.
Excellent interpersonal skills, integrity, and good moral character.
Must be a critical thinker, problem solver, and respect others.
Must be computer literate and able to use interactive computer instructional software.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with staff, students, parents, and the community.

Responsibilities

Teach Chemistry in bilingual classrooms (Spanish/Turkish and English) as needed across grade levels and content areas.
Contribute to improving student achievement through engaging instruction.
Collaborate with district staff to align curriculum with NJ standards.
