Job summary

Paterson Public Schools in Paterson, NJ invites certified Chemistry/Physical Science teachers to join our district-wide team for the 2026-27 school year. We welcome bilingual applicants (Spanish, Turkish, English) with NJDOE certificates and endorsements in Chemistry or Physical Science.

Positions cover diverse locations within the district; you will be part of a dedicated team focused on student achievement and community involvement.

Qualifications

• Must hold New Jersey Chemistry or Physical Science certificate.
• Knowledge of the NJSLS and NJSLA.
• Ability to analyze and use data to drive instruction.
• Experience working with students.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, integrity, and good moral character.
• Must be a critical thinker, problem solver, and respect others.
• Must be computer literate and able to use interactive computer instructional software.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with staff, students, parents, and the community.

Responsibilities

• Teach Chemistry in bilingual classrooms (Spanish/Turkish and English) as needed across grade levels and content areas.

We are seeking highly motivated, energetic, and enthusiastic certified educators for the 2026-27 school year.

We are accepting resumes for bilingual teachers certified by the State of New Jersey to teach in our bilingual classrooms at various grade levels and content areas, in Spanish or Turkish and English. Viable candidates must hold certificates issued by the New Jersey Department of Education, or meet the requirements for certification, with an endorsement in Chemistry or Physical Science.
