Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Analytical Chemistry Laboratory Technician to join our Rosemount, MN team. You will perform lab testing on industrial chemicals and raw materials, using AA or HPLC, and ensure QA/QC standards are met across fertilizer and food-grade product lines.

This contract role offers hands-on instrumentation work, quality control documentation, and opportunities to contribute to batch records and lab reporting in a GMP-influenced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry is preferred.
• Familiarity with lab techniques such as pipetting and wet chemistry.
• Understanding of batch records and working within a GMP environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct lab work including specific gravity, titrations, and pH testing.
• Act as the receipt of raw materials by reviewing shipping documentation and Certificates of Analysis (COA), verifying against internal specifications.
• Test raw materials as required by QA/QC and release for use by Production, including Specific Gravity, pH, Wet Chemistry assays, and trace materials using AA or HPLC.
• Issue and review batch records for manufacturing and packaging.
• Issue labels and seals as controlled documents, store label stock securely, and print and review labels with the Production Supervisor.
• Maintain a log for issued seals and upload lab results to the database, creating CofAs.
• Review and test finished bulk products to ensure quality standards, conducting tests before product mixes are transferred to storage tanks or packaging containers.
• Engage in in-process and finished goods testing, including packaging inspection and visual inspection of finished goods.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
