Job summary

KLA is seeking a Chemicals Lab Technician to monitor chemical processes, test product quality, and manage lab instrumentation at our Totowa, NJ site. You will ensure safe handling and storage of hazardous materials, prepare chemicals for MFG/R&D, and support shipment readiness while collaborating across departments to prevent delays.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and efficient chemical management within a leading electronics manufacturing environment in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry with 1+ years of experience.
• Knowledge of analytical techniques such as titration, conductivity, pH, UV, ICP.
• Experience in planning, procuring and inventory management of chemicals.
• Understanding SDS/MSDS and shipment requirements for chemicals.
• Collaborate with departments to avoid delays in chemical management.
• Participate in waste management as needed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor chemical processes and test product quality to meet standards.
• Set up, operate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Maintain production equipment and troubleshoot problems.
• Plan quarterly chemical needs for manufacturing and R&D; place orders.
• Maintain inventory for receiving and outbound chemicals; fulfill internal requests.
• Prepare chemicals according to demand and document SDS/Hazards.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and waste management of hazardous materials.
