Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in at least six credit hours during the fall semester.
• GPA of 2.0 or higher and in good standing at Oakton College.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• 1 semester of college chemistry or 1 year of high school chemistry required.
• Knowledge of basic laboratory equipment.
• Willing to follow all safety protocols for working in a Chemistry laboratory, including PPE.
• Solid communication skills.
• Dependable and efficient.

Responsibilities

• Set up experiments, prepare solutions, and clean/maintain chemistry labs.
• Clean glassware and instruments, restock shelves.
• During semester breaks, clean student drawers and laboratory equipment.
• Able to work with a team and independently; able to multitask and learn quickly.
• Some computer knowledge (Word, Excel, Google Suite).
• Adhere to written and verbal safety rules.
• Be dependable and efficient.
