Job summary

The Chemours Company in Parkersburg, WV seeks a Monomer + Melts Chemist to join our team. This role provides analytical and quality support to meet customer requirements and product quality goals, while developing and improving testing procedures and process controls.

Responsibilities include calibrating and maintaining analytical equipment, supporting LIMS/SAP operations, and driving continuous improvement in measurement systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry is required.

  • Provide analytical and quality support to ensure business objectives, customer requirements, and product quality expectations are met.
  • Calibrate, verify, maintain, and troubleshoot analytical instrumentation used for product testing and release.
  • Develop, implement, and improve analytical methods, testing procedures, and process control strategies.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to measurement systems, laboratory automation, and data integrity.
  • Support laboratory operations, including LIMS, SAP, purchasing, inventory management, and vendor coordination.
  • Troubleshoot analytical methods, instrumentation, and scientific techniques to resolve product, process, and laboratory issues.
  • Partner with Manufacturing Technology, Operations, and Quality teams to improve product consistency, process capability, and operational performance.
  • Conduct and support root cause investigations, product quality assessments, and customer complaint evaluations using a variety of analytical techniques.
  • Analyze quality and process data to identify trends, recommend improvements, and support decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety, and regulatory requirements, including RCRA waste management.
  • Provide technical support for manufacturing operations, product qualification, and business-critical projects.
  • Perform bench chemistry, analytical testing, and laboratory support activities as needed.

Chemours is seeking a Monomer + Melts Chemist to join our team! This position will report directly to the Global Analytical Quality Manager at our Parkersburg, WV location.


The Monomer + Melts Chemist provides analytical and quality support to Washington Works business and customer goals through method development, process control, product quality assurance, continuous improvement, and technical problem solving.


The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
