Job summary

Chemours is seeking Regulatory Laboratory Technicians to join the Washington Works Environmental and Regulatory Laboratory in WV. You will support analytical work, develop testing methods, and perform complex measurements to enable the business team’s success.

We value applicants with a BS in chemistry-related fields, lab equipment experience, and the ability to adapt in a dynamic setting. The role emphasizes safety, PPE, and continuous method development.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Be the key resource for analytical work in the Washington Works Environmental and Regulatory Laboratory.
  • Develop and troubleshoot testing methods.
  • Perform complex measurements to support the business team.
  • Follow guidance from the Analytical team and grow in the role.
  • Learn new methods as needed to advance responsibilities.

Chemours is seeking Regulatory Laboratory Technicians to join our growing APM team! This position will report directly to the Analytical Operations Manager at our Washington Works, WV location.

Responsibilities
  • Key resource for support of analytical work in the Washington Works Environmental and Regulatory Laboratory.
  • Support the lab by development of new testing methods and troubleshooting existing testing methods.
  • Take on complicated measurements that are needed for our business team to be successful.
  • Take direction from our Analytical team and work under their direction.
  • Expected to be knowledgeable general laboratory methods, and able to learn new methods as necessary to grow into the role.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of a BS in Chemistry, Biochemistry or Related Field or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated Knowledge of laboratory equipment and executing testing using the equipment
  • Ability to work in a very dynamic environment
  • Documented Experience setting up and developing new testing methods.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Willing and able to wear required PPE (personal protective equipment) such as steel toes, hard hat, Nomex, eye protection, respirators, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Chromatography experience.
  • LC and Mass Spec experience.
  • Knowledge of Fluoropolymers
  • Problem solving certification.

Pay Range (in local currency): $25.10 - $39.22 Chemours Level: 21 Annual Bonus Target: 4% The pay range and incentives listed above is a general guideline based on the primary location of this job only and not a guarantee of total compensation.
