Job Overview

Location: Chattanooga, TN 37406. 12–month contract. 7:30 AM to 4 PM shift. Pay range $22 to $25/hr.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field (preferred)
  • Laboratory experience with polymers, organics, coatings, adhesives, or related industries
  • Strong hands‑on laboratory skills with attention to detail and documentation
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct application and performance testing of polymer dispersions, customer products, and coated films
  • Perform routine analytical and physical characterization (viscosity, rheology, particle size, pH, surface tension, film testing)
  • Document, analyze, and summarize test results for technical service and product evaluations
  • Support products entering the commercialization phase of development
  • Maintain compliance with EH&S, Responsible Care, ISO, and laboratory SOPs
  • Verify instrument calibrations and support routine equipment maintenance
