Lab Support

Location: Monaca, PA 15061

Duration: 12 Months

Pay rate: $20 to $23/hr

100% onsite. All candidates must be willing and able to work 12‑hour rotating shifts, including weekends. Shift schedule is flexible: a typical week may be 36 hrs (3 days of 12 hours) or 48 hrs (4 days of 12 hours), with days not consecutive. HM is flexible to work with the contractor on the work hours.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in a lab position of increasing responsibility
• Associate’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or another science with a minimum of 6 months industrial experience in QA/QC, R&D, Analytical, or Environmental laboratory environments, OR high school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years relevant industrial lab experience in one of those areas
• Education verification required; may lead to a permanent position

Responsibilities

• Provide lab support to the manufacturing process and confirm quality of product before shipment to customer
• Conduct analytical testing on emulsion polymerization products and plant wastewater in support of in‑process and finished goods for 24/7 ISO 9001 manufacturing operations
• Accurately measure physical properties (pH, viscosity, solids, PSD) and composition (HPLC, FTIR, titrations) for latex products
• Enter data into and retrieve information from LIMS (IQS), SAP, and other software packages
• Ensure accuracy in performing tests and communicating results
• Maintain attention to detail
